Every car I've encountered has had a mechanism to prevent the key being withdrawn while the engine was running. I suppose you could put the car into neutral and turn off the engine. In some models, this could cause the steering wheel to lock up. Either way, it'd probably roll to a stop or you could slow it by braking.
